ModeratorJust spoke to Lana from The Blue Duck, she is very upbeat and supportive of the lockdown, and will not be taking any payment for accomodation.
Once I get back to Melbourne I’ll commence the process of refunds.
Cheers

ModeratorHi Wayne is there a possibility of just postponing before you spend all the time refunding everyone???

ModeratorYes Matt, after consideration, I’ll wait until lockdown runs it’s course, and see what the options are to reschedule.
Refund always available.2021-02-12 at 3:23 pm #64015Glenn Swaik
ParticipantHi Wayne. Thanks again for the great effort organising the weekend. We have just checked in in Bright and will stay for a last supper before heading home tomorrow. Small blessing though. I just realised that when I removed the rear axle from my bike to put it in the car I left the axle in the garage!
And yes I will try again next year, fires, viruses and other conflagrations permitting

KeymasterOnly 4 tries? I had to raise a pandemic to get out of this one 😢

ModeratorVery disappointing Wayne but thanks again for all your effort.
Ken, Jonathan and I still managed to get what ended up being a pretty wet ride up Buffalo and then a couple of drinks and dinner at the brewery.
Caught up with Brad on Buffalo and Helen and then at dinner along with Perry and Carol.
So we managed to make the most of the day.
Cheers

ModeratorHad just finished packing the car when we got news of the lockdown but decided to continue on and lockdown in Wandi for 5 days.
Good to meet Ken, Gavin, Jonathan, Brad and Helen at the brewery but so disappointed to miss this ride 2 years in a row.
Thanks again Wayne and Jude for all the organisation and sorry we couldn’t catch up with you.Perry

KeymasterThanks, Wayne and Judy for all the work that has gone into prep for the weekend. We are all very disappointed and without any expectations, I certainly would support keeping open the possibility of rescheduling before the end of Autumn.
Richard (Cole) and I got home at 7 pm approx. At home, I’ve had my share of a bottle of red and some chocolates to ease the frustration. I’m guessing that I am not alone??
How is NSW tonight Tony (Watts)?? 🙂

KeymasterThanks Wayne for all the organisation! Very disappointing all around. Well done to the Buffalo hunters.
Caroline and I meandered home via Milawa wineries and Healesville. A couple of interesting ride possibilities around Taminick and Toolangi.
Still haven’t made the Alpine weekend! Perhaps later this year?
Back to Lockdown protocols and routes.

ModeratorHi Wayne,
Helen and I will add our thanks to yourself and Judy – a lot of prep work goes into the weekend.
But on the plus side this gives us all some extra time to get fit ahead of an Alpine Weekend 2.0.Do you know if Anglers Rest solidly booked out for the summer or is there an opportunity to sneak
in on another weekend?thanks again, Brad

Thanks for all the effort organising such a wonderful multi-day ride, who would have thought brunettis would go that far to cancel it.
As with the other riders, that have put all time training in the hills, would be interested at heading back up to give it a ‘crack’ when we can travel more than 5kms.
Thanks again
Andrew
