ModeratorI also wish to thank you Wayne and Jude, such a wonderful time this weekend even though the ride changed. I always come away from ARC events feeling so good about the way everyone cares for each other; cyclists, support team and spouses.thank you everyone.

ModeratorI hit the ground running and skipped town the day after The Alpine Weekend and can finally draw breath.
Thank you everyone for a fantastic Alpine Weekend of cycling and good company.
As Juan Antonio (and Matt) would say “Best ARC Alpine Challenge Ever!”
And it is a challenge. Regardless of which way we go it takes training and stamina.
A special thank you to Justin, Rob & Maddie, Gordon, Wilma, Helen, Jude and Clare for your support and patience with the logistics of moving 20 cyclists around the countryside.
Saturday drinks and nibbles continues to impress, a big thank you to Jude, with Clare ably assisting, for a terrific social gathering, leading into a dinner in great atmosphere at The Blue Duck.
The weather continues to surprise, and after an early summer of record setting temperatures, we were faced with fierce winds through The Hotham Saddles both days and a little drizzle and cloud on Sunday, but generally “Goldilocks” temperatures, it reinforces the temperamental nature of all Alpine areas and the need to be prepared for all conditions. It certainly made for spectacular cycling.
Special award to Glenn and Trevor for a huge effort in taming the Alps for the first time, a significant and rewarding achievement, well done.
I hope everyone had a great time, I’ve booked for next year and will release details soon.
Cheers

KeymasterThanks Wayne (and Jude) for organizing another great weekend for the ARC riders and support crew. This year it was especially nice for ARC to visit the region and to spend a few dollars in those hard-hit businesses. Well done again to you for holding off on the Go/No-Go decision until you had gathered the facts on conditions as close as possible to the scheduled date. Your a champ.

ParticipantI would also like to thank Wayne and Jude for organising our fabulous cycling trip. There are so many people to thank for making the weekend so memorable and I really appreciate the inclusiveness of everyone in the group. As JJ said, you come away from events like this on a high and look forward to the next one. Thanks for all the support, encouragement and for ensuring that we were safe at all times.
