I will join Friday night, start in 6:30 group, small space in esky, don’t mind who I room with, no food allergies, happy to contribute to snacks and I would like to do Falls Creek on Monday (leg weariness and weather dependent).
Thanks for organising.

ModeratorHi Wayne, Helen and I will be arriving Friday night and will be staying at the Brighton Motor Inn.
Not sure if we will ge there for dinner on Friday night but will try.
Helen will be driving a support vehicle for the weekend and we will carry an esky and some spares (tubes, tyre, tools and front wheel). I plan to ride with the earlier 6:30am group. Helen is happy
to bunk with the other women or we can share as needed. Please advise if you need us to make
or bring anything for the Saturday afternoon ‘lawn party’. We plan to head home Sunday night. It is currently 40C over here in Perth so I imagine this weather will make its way East towards Melbourne by the weekend.
Thanks for all you efforts and look forward to catching up on the weekend.

Lana at The Blue Duck Inn has asked for a cabin list to assist with check-in, you can change if you wish, but stick to the list for check-in purposes.
Weather
Saturday
– Bright min 15, chance of a shower
– Mt Hotham – 6-13, chance of a shower, Wind Easterly 20-30kph
– Omeo – max 25, chance of a shower
Sunday
– Omeo – min 12, chance of a shower
– Mt Hotham – 6-13, chance of a shower, Wind Easterly 20-30kph
– Bright – max 27, chance of a shower
As you can see, great temps for cycling but a chance of a shower everyday that has the potential to leave you cold and wet with a wind of up to 30kph increasing the chill factor.
Equally it could be just perfect, it is the Alps after all, be prepared.
Consider easy access to additional layers from vehicles at our Dinner Plain regroup.
Please allow time for parking cars and bag drop on Saturday so we get away on time, just as you would from the station.
Also of note is Mt Buffalo to the Chalet appears to be open if planning additional cycling whilst in the area.
Brad, thanks, but nothing additional needed for snacks and drinks.
See most of you Friday night at The Brewery.
Cheers

ModeratorIn Bright now, raining since thunderstorms rolled in around 4pm, should be fine tomorrow.
With the Mt Buffalo road now open to the Chalet, I’m going to watch the start of The Herald-Sun Tour at 10am, and then head up to Mt Buffalo around 10.30am if anyone is in town.
See most of you tomorrow night.
Cheers

ModeratorThank you so much Wayne for organising. It’s a mammoth job and we all appreciate it.
Gordo hurt his back early in January and yesterday the physio has advised him against riding this weekend so he will drive and be another support vehicle.
Barbara, Frank and I plan to start with the 6.30 group.
Thank you to Jude for providing arvo tea, I’m a vego. No dietary requirements for Barbara, Frank & Gordo.
Barbara & I will join you for dinner on Friday night. I don’t think the boys will make it.
Looking forward (I think!) to the ride and to seeing everyone.
Thank you again Wayne,
Regards,

ModeratorHi All – My leg is not able to do this ride (the rest of me is ready and willing!) but we will be in Wandi from Saturday to Wednesday.
For those still in Bright on Sunday evening, I’m planning to do an easy ride down the Buckland valley on Monday morning if anyone’s interested. We’ll probably be at Bright Brewery for dinner on Sunday evening as well.
Cheers…..Perry

I have some outside tables booked at The Brewery Sunday from 3pm.

ModeratorCongratulations all ARC Alpiners. Looks like another fantabulous weekend in the High Country with some pretty impressive QoMs from the female contingent.
Enjoy the well deserved kudos in what seems to have been tough conditions.
