Helen and myself are interested in joining the alpine weekend again. Looks like we are on the wait list for now!
cheers, Brad.2019-09-05 at 12:16 pm #54830
Hi Brad, good to see we didn’t scare Helen off last year.
Yes, a wait list at the moment, but the good news is only 1 needs to pull out to fit you both into a double bed, and we do get cyclists with diary conflicts pull out closer the date.

Count me in please Wayne2019-09-19 at 2:15 pm #55186
Would be great to have you along again, it’s about the only time I get to see you.
The best I can do at the moment is put you on the wait list behind Brad and Helen.

Hi Wayne, could you please remind me when to book accomodation in Bright, stayed at a motel 2 years ago, forget the name but should I be doing that soonish? JJ2019-11-21 at 8:49 pm #56749Branko RisticParticipant
Because of a hernia repair surgery, regrettably, I have to pull out from the Alpine Challenge.
Branko2019-11-27 at 3:08 pm #56961
Julie, it’s entirely up to you where you stay and when you book. Jude and I have stayed at The Bogong View Motor Inn the last few years. We have booked both Friday and Sunday nights. http://www.bogongviewmotorinn.com.au/ If you call direct and mention you’re travelling with our group, I believe you may get approx 10% off.
Branko, thanks for letting me know, good luck with the recovery, see you in 2021.
A bit over 10 weeks before the flag drops, time to hit the hills.
Also, if everyone who has committed to the weekend could check their calendars/diaries for their availability and let me know if you have a conflict and need to withdraw, it’s not a problem and will assist those on the waiting list.
I’ll convene the faceless committee and update details and numbers shortly.

I am new to the club and am interested in doing the alpine ride subject to availability of accommodation at anglers rest so could you please add my wife (a non rider) to the waiting list.
Glenn Swaik2019-12-11 at 4:55 pm #57391
Welcome Glenn, unfortunately all I can do at the moment is add you and your wife to The Blue Duck Inn accomodation waitlisted.
Brad and Helen, good news, with Branko withdrawing, we can fit both of you in.
As a reminder, in case you forgot you put your name down, the confirmed start list is –
– Wayne and Jude
– John and Clare
– Philip and Sharon
– Barb and Frank
– GarryD and Pete
– Margaret and Greg
– Brad and Helen (28)
Wait list – Lynton, Gordon and Marg, GlennS and wife.
The only limiting factor is the number of beds at The Blue Duck Inn, Anglers Rest.
If you can organise alternative accomodation, eg. a campsite along the river at Anglers Rest, or something in Omeo to meet a 6.30/7am departure from Anglers Rest, there is no limit.

Lynton, your ship has come in, see you soon.
Gordon and Marg, can fit one of you at the moment, not both yet.
