chain 1 has 11,688 km and is at 0.25-0.3% wear.
That is 39 waxes, at average 300km per treatment.
I dropped and then lost one side of the reusable link at about rewax 25 so cannot comment beyond 25 reuses of the reusable link just yet; yes I put a new reusable link on when that happened.
I was lead to believe that 20 uses of the wax batch was the limit, however, I have thrown out two batches that looked just fine, so on batch three, I will keep using a bit longer; I currently wax 5 bikes with the batches of wax and one trainer.
As previously stated I hope, a wax batch costs about $11-$12 and about 60 cents per treatment. I plan using less PTFE by half in the next batch, that will reduce the cost to about $7 and 35 cents per treatment but I need to watch the chain wear in case it needs the extra PTFE in the mix.
