Apologies for my incident on the way to Sherbrooke. Another reminder about the need to stay focused when riding in a bunch – even at low speeds.
What happened? My recollection: on the Clarkmont cut through to Sherbrooke we were pretty clumped and I started a conversation with Lynton on my right, as I turned my head to the right I drifted a little to the left. At the same time the front of the group crested, slowed, we concertined, putting me into the back of Adrian’s bike.
My error for not staying focused on the bikes in front!
Fortunately, low speed, couple of grazes and bruises. Found the bent spoke that gave rise the slight buckle. Unfortunately a campag special spoke…
