ARC Stack Team App
ARC is moving to STACK Team App. The Stack app is now up and we run in parallel for the next month or so.
Some tips and tricks for using the Stack App.
I have now loaded ‘active’ members from the ARC website and forum to the ARC Stack Team App.
All members should receive an invitation email. If you are not a current Stack Team App user you will need to download the the app, create a Stack Team App user, then head over to the Ashburton Riders Club.
I am still learning the ropes… (happy for assistance from LBS and LBOYB users!)
Please get on, check and update your membership details – esp EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS

BUT the app is better and easier to use.
ADVERTISING

The App is free and paid for by advertising. We can pay to have it removed but for the present have opted for free… Each member can opt out of advertising via the app for $4.50 pa.
Please be aware that there is advertising, nothing to do with ARC, and we will not be asking any members for credit card details.
RIDES
=====
Please post rides on BOTH the Stack App and the Forum while we run in parallel
To create a ride 1) you need to be and Admin or Restricted Admin. 2) go to the EVENTS tab in the Stack app. 3) Use the “+” and it will take you to the Event details:
Mandatory Information
Title, Details, Location (pls entere you proposed start location), Start Date/Time
Optional Information
– RSVP (if you want people respond),
– Access Groups (See Groups below. IMPORTANT: Depending on the group selection the ride will be visible to members of that group AND any notifications option you select will be sent to that group only),
– Send Notifications (IMPORTANT: The default is to notify via Stack App or Email all members in the group you have selected. It can be set to NONE in which case group members need to go to the app to see the ride. PLEASE consider you selection here as you may end sending emails to the entire ARC community!)
TIP: For the weekly 0600 regulars pls use the “Weekly 0600 Riders” group NOT the Ashburton Riders Club Group!
GROUPS

What is a group or, in Stack Team app language, an Access Group?
An Access Group allows us to set up specific communications (Chat, News) and Rides (Events) for specific sub groups.
You can add or remove yourself from a group via “My Details” in Stack App.
I have set up and registered most members for 3 groups;
– “Ashburton Riders Club” This should have everyone and is to be used for whole of group comms
– “TDU 2025” I have put most members on this. Please deregister yourself if you don’t want to be included in chats and rides.
– “Alpine 2025” I have put most members on this. Please deregister yourself if you don’t want to be included in chats and rides.
– “Weekly 0600 Riders” I have seeded this with the regular 0600 week day riders. Please register/deregister yourself if you do/don’t want to be included in chats and rides.
– ARC Gravellers. I have seeded this with the few gravellers. Please register/deregister yourself if you do/don’t want to be included in chats and rides.
We will add more groups as we progress to facilitate rides and communication.
Intent is to target respective News and Chat to the relevant group thereby reducing the amount noise the members will receive. Each of these Groups has a Chat Thread.
If you are not planning on participating in TDU or Alpine and do not want comms I suggest to deregister from the group. (Apologies, me taking the easy way out on setting everything up – too hard to x-ref everybody!)
